My car (bby_evo) is a 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage 4 Door DE Sedan. It came from the factory with a 4G15 1.5l 4cylinder, and the automatic 4 speed transmission. It has undergone many changes since those days, and now sits as a 1.8l 5speed (manual transmission) car. At a prior time, the car was even turbocharged on upwards of 30-35psi of boost making 300-400whp. The current configuration develops close to 150whp (sae corrected) burning e85 ethanol.
The Mirage has been my toy and daily driver for over a decade now. Over the years I have owned and built many high HP cars, from drag to drift, and everything in between, none of them as exciting to drive as the little Mirage.
The Mirage now has a 2001 4G93 paired to a 2000 F5M21 5 speed manual transmission. The Mirage has been converted to speed density and tuned on e85 using EcuFlash. The car has a new intake without the MAF allowing a lot more air in, greatly increasing the power even though the car has remained N/A.
The Mirage also was recently painted in two tone, with a Jet Black front end, with Royal Blue still covering the car from the doors back. I also added a Yakima rack to allow carrying the mountain bike when needed.
My Mirage was mainly designed for mountain and track duty. The list of modifications shows.
