The 5th generation Mitsubishi Mirage was in production from 1996-2002. Not all were available in all areas though. The 5th gen was first sold in the US as a 1997 MY vehicle. It came in a few variations, two door, and four door. Both were offered as a base DE, or the upscale LS models. Both of the body styles had option for manual or automatic transmissions in either trim level. During it's last year (MY 2002) only the coupe was available in the US. This was due to the introduction of the Lancer (6th gen Mirage - ReNamed).
